Sorry this one is posted at a weird late time. On Monday I saw this (at work) on the Sci-Fi Channel's Tumbler page via facebook.Apparently they do Myka Mondays too. My work internet network doesn't like the Syfy channel pages and I forgot about this till late.
One of my recent Chinese Take Out Delivery orders came from a place I hadn't tried before. They have left their Carry-Out menus on my door on several occasions. So I figured what the heck I'll try them. They have an interesting technique of stapling a rubber band to the top of the menu and hanging the menu on the door knob like a hotel "Do Not Disturb" hanging tag. This post is not to review the food or the service from The Wing Wah Restaurant, this post is to note a pretty cool part of the delivery receipt.
Check it out:
Yep look at that Chinese writing on it. The dish names and what I assume is the Restaurant name and not the word delivery in Chinese lettering. Oh I did have to block out my phone number and address. You gotta be careful with things on the internet.
Yes it has been a very long time since I've done one of these or even a review of an episode of Warehouse 13. The reviewing takes a lot of time that I have been too lazy to take, and this I just haven't been motivated to doing it on a regular basis.
For this Myka Monday edition I won't give all the details of the image here, that will be for sometime on my trading card blog. You see back in November of last year I got a sketch card from Ebay. The artist is Javier Gonzalez an ACEO (Art Cards Editions and Originals) artist. The sketch is of Joanne Kelly as Myka Bering done sometime in 2013. It is on the standard 2.5" x 3.5" trading card size card stock. The back is plain with the artist's signature and 2013 (which almost looks like a last name).
Oh Season 5 of Warehouse 13 is scheduled to return for it's short six episodes starting in late April.
The latest casting news for the potential new spinoff in the NCIS franchise NCIS: New Orleans has been announced. Scott Bakula has been cast as team leader Special Agent Pride. Pride is described as a man who “embodies New Orleans" and is driven by the "need to do what’s right and does it all with warmth, passion, strength and humor." He is also apparently an old associate of Gibbs (Marc Harmon) from the NIS (Naval Investigative Service) days.
Special Agent Pride and his team will debut this spring in a two-part story on the current flagship show NCIS as a backdoor spinoff pilot. NCIS itself is a spinoff from the mother flagship show JAG.
Speaking of JAG Zoe McLellan (P.O. Jennifer Coates) has been cast as Special Agent Brody on Pride's team. Also cast is CCH Pounder (Mrs. Irene Fredericfrom Warehouse 13) who will play medical examiner Dr. Wade. Another field agent named LaSalle has yet to be cast, or at least the casting has yet to be announced for that character.
I have mentioned in this blog and elsewhere that I really don't think there needs to be three NCIS shows right now. This show, however, seems more interesting and has a bigger named star to anchor the potential series than the previous spinoff attempt (from NCIS: Los Angeles) NCIS: Red. I'm a big NCIS fan and a big fan of Scott Bakula as well as a huge Warehouse 13 fan. Even though I don't agree with the plans for a new series I will end up watching, supporting and probably enjoying NCIS: New Orleans.
