STATE O' THE BLOG
2020 Edition
2020 maintains the failing Red years in my annual State of The Blog tally. Did that really surprise anyone for such a year? Oddly it wasn't the absolute bottom of the barrel that 2019 was.
Here are the monthlies from 2020:
January: 1
February: 1
March: 2
April: 1
May: 1
June: 2
July: 3
August: 1
September: 1
October: 1
November: 1
December: 2
TOTAL: 17
Monthly Average: 1.42
No real surprise I FAILED my yearly goal of 32 posts per year. That is now 6 years in a row. SIX!
Now lets look at how the 2020 blogging matches up with past years:
2006 - 32
2007 - 43
2008 - 36
2009 - 34
2010 - 18
2011 - 20
2012 - 38
2013 - 93
2014 - 57
2015 - 24
2016 - 29
2017 - 16
2018 - 18
2019 - 12
2020 - 17
Yearly Average: 32.47
Another failing year continues to bring the yearly average down. If the trend keeps, which it probably will, the yearly average will dip below my desired goal per year. Last year the number of failed years was even with the number of years when the goal was reached or exceeded. This year the losing years are more than the met-plus years.

As for my trading card blogs (CaptKirk42's Trading Card Blog and Curly W Cards) both of them I only did the bare 1 post per month minimum so they both only have 12 posts for the year 2020. For those my only posting goal is to make at least the bare minimum of 1 post per month, 12 posts per year.

This post inspired me to look at my total posts in 2020. My highest total since 2014. I feel like I have a pretty solid routine down now... but life throws curveballs from time to time... so I'm not making any guarantees nor will I set any goals.
Whatever direction you head... I hope you're having fun. That's all that matters at the end of the day... or end of the year.
